The DTE Energy Foundation trail is located just north of Chelsea, Michigan in the Waterloo Recreation Area. There are 4 trails within the trail system. The Green Lake loop is a beginner friendly 5 miles and is the only trail that will not be part of the race. The race will be help on Big Kame, Winn Loop and, for those racing in the Open category, Sugar Loop. There are 3 parking lots for the trail system. We highly recommend using Google Maps for directions and searching for the DTE Cassidy Parking Lot.
You will need a Michigan Recreation Passport for parking and entrance to the trails. You can purchase one in the parking lot if you don't have one or are not a Michigan resident.
Coming from Stockbridge on Route 52 you would turn right on Roe Rd. Follow Roe Rd. For about 1.5 miles then turn left on Cassidy Rd. The Cassidy parking lot will be about 1.25 miles down Cassidy Rd. on the left.
Coming from Chelsea on Route 52 you would turn left on Waterloo Rd. Follow Waterloo Rd. for about 1.5 miles then turn right on Cassidy Rd. The Cassidy parking lot is about 2 miles down on the right.
